Inspections

The Idaho State Department of Agriculture (ISDA) Pesticide Compliance program conducts routine inspections of pesticide applicators, dealerships, and storage facilities. The inspections cover a varying degree of pesticide-related topics including, but not limited to, pesticide distribution, registration, storage, and use and pesticide applicator and dealership licensing. The ISDA investigators that conduct these inspections are stationed at field offices throughout Idaho in Boise, Caldwell, Post Falls, Idaho Falls, Lewiston, Pocatello and Twin Falls. Annually, several of the Pesticide Compliance inspections are conducted in conjunction with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) who maintains a cooperative agreement with the ISDA Division of Agricultural Resources. A portion of this agreement provides funding for the Pesticide Compliance program and allows the ISDA to maintain regulatory primacy on topics related to pesticides.
