Private Applicator Record Keeping Requirements
Private Applicator Restricted Use Pesticide Application Record – Certified private pesticide applicators must maintain records of federally restricted-use pesticides applications pursuant to the USDA requirements. These records must be retained for a period of two (2) years following the application of the restricted-use pesticide.
Items to be recorded are:
- The brand or product name of the federally restricted-use pesticide and the product’s EPA Registration number
- The total amount of restricted-use pesticide applied
- The size of the area treated with the restricted-use pesticide
- The crop, commodity, stored product, or site treated with the restricted-use pesticide
- The location of the application of the restricted-use pesticide
- The month, day, and year of the application
- The certified applicator’s name and certification number
