Animal Industries

The Animal Industries Division is responsible for regulatory animal disease control and prevention programs through the inspection and investigation of livestock and livestock facilities, and the regulation of intrastate, interstate, and international movement of animals.

Agricultural Inspections

The Division of Agricultural Inspections includes the Organic Certification Program, Weights and Measures, Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Inspections, Warehouse Program and more. 

Plant Industries

The Plant Industries Division oversees the regulation of commercial feed & fertilizer and soil and plant amendments, phytosanitary certification, pest surveys, noxious weeds and more. 

Laboratories

ISDA Bureau of Laboratories oversees the Animal Health Lab, the Plant Pathology lab, the Feed and Fertilizer Lab, the Food Quality Assurance Lab, the Plant Pathology Lab and the Seed Lab. 

Marketing

The Bureau of Market Development includes the Idaho Preferred Program, international marketing efforts, and the Idaho Farm and Ranch Center. 

Agricultural Resources

The Division of Agricultural Resources, regulates the registration, sale, distribution, use, storage, nd disposal of pesticides under the authority of state laws and rules governing pesticides and in conjunction with the U.S. Environment Protection Agency (EPA) who maintains a cooperative agreement with ISDA.
