Animal Odor

ISDA has IDAPA 02.04.30 “Rules Governing Environmental and Nutrient Management” and Title 25, Chapter 38, Idaho Code “Agriculture Odor Management Act” which it uses in the regulation of agricultural odor issues.  While we do investigate most agricultural animal operations for concerns about odor,  the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality is responsible for odor concerns relating to large swine facilities.

If you are concerned about excessive odor from an animal facility, you can file a complaint for ISDA to investigate.

For odor concerns regarding odor resulting from plants, not in relation to animal feeding, please contact ISDA Plant Industries.
