ISDA W&M annually test commercially used weighing and measuring devices used in Idaho for accuracy and compliance with design, construction, and installation requirements. Inspectors examine product packaging for net contents, sample octane, and investigate complaints.
Idaho Code Title 71 requires commercially used weighing or measuring devices to be tested by ISDA W&M. Devices include retail motor fuel dispensers, scales from small grocery store scales to 200,000-pound vehicle scales, propane meters, and bulk fuel and oil meters.
Schedule or request inspections by contacting us at 208-332-8690 or email.
ISDA W&M adopts by reference the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Handbook 44, Specifications, Tolerances and Other Technical Requirements for Weighing and Measuring Devices as standards for commercially used devices.
