The Homegrown by Heroes and Idaho Preferred merged logo was established by the Idaho State Department of Agriculture in collaboration with the Farmer Veteran Coalition in January 2023. This new marketing initiative aims to spotlight farmers and agricultural producers in Idaho who are veterans or currently serving in any branch of the United States Military. These producers create products that are agriculturally grown, raised, or crafted within the state.
