Noxious Weed Rules
IDAPA 02.06.22

The department proposes initiating rulemaking that would make permanent the addition of two (2) new species to the Early Detection Rapid Response (EDRR) noxious weed list, Iberian starthistle and Purple starthistle.

In the fall of 2014, a small, isolated, and only known population of Purple starthistle and Iberian starthistle was identified in Twin Falls County. The Director of ISDA took immediate action and listed the plants through the temporary listing process as EDRR species. This proposed rule would make that EDRR listing permanent.
