Rules Governing Dairy Byproduct – Approved Soils
IDAPA 02.04.14

IDAPA 02.04.14.030.1(d) states that: Storage areas for dairy byproduct, including compost and solid manure storage areas, shall be located on “approved soils”  and appropriately protected to prevent run on and run off. However, no definition or parameters are given as to what are considered “approved soils” or the process by which approval is acquired. Rulemaking will provide a clearer definition and concise requirements for “approved soils.”
